Summary
Striking workers gather in a stairwell to listen to news about the strike being broadcast on the radio. According to the verso of the photographs the broadcasted address was made by President Nixon. P305164 features one man holding a cigarette as he looks at the radio. All the men in the photographs are wearing a picket sign that reads, "On Strike against Penn Central only employees represented by railway clerks union AFL-CIO." All of the photographs were taken at the Food Fair Store located on 32nd Street in Philadelphia, Pa.
